Innocence

"Wasn't it easier in your lunch box days?
Always a bigger bed to crawl into
Wasn't it beautiful when you believed in everything?
And everybody believed in you."
- Innocent, Taylor Swift

Don't you remember how naive you were back then when you were still 5,7, or 9? When you knew nothing about the cruelty that happened in this world?

Honestly I don't. But I used to think life was so simple. You grow up, finish school, get a job, get married, have a family, and live till you die. Well how naive was I. I still am, apparently. When I had a discussion with my friend (A) about how people would think or prioritise themselves first, make the most benefits they could for themselves and do not care about others, I was thinking the opposite. I said, "Why would they want to do something that harm other people? I personally don't want to do such things." It's true that most people put themselves first before others, but to disadvantage others very deeply to get what you want is just not   okay. You can get to where you want to be without harming other people. My other friend (B) said I was too naive to say something like that and my other friend (C) said it was different in business world. Then it got me. Yeah, it must've been different. The way you socialise daily might have been different from the way you do your job. Maybe you're caring and thoughtful to friends but you would fight very hard to beat your competitors. Life is tough. And the world is evil. But hey, gotta live one day at a time. The time will come when I have to deal with messy business or that kind of stuff.

I don't know how this outfit pics related to the "innocence" topic above. I just rambled. Anyway, this set of pictures were taken in St. Andrews, Scotland, the city where Prince William studied for university. Unfortunately my friends and I couldn't find the university and take touristy pictures in front of it. Instead, we found ruins of a castle and a cemetery which we paid £7.60 which wasn't expensive, but didn't worth any of the experience. However, the highlight of the day was to find the best gelato parlour in town, if not in the whole country, Jannettas Gelateria. So at least, our trip passing through St. Andrews was not really a waste. Hey, anything for the adventure right?

Ciao.

Sneakers Trainers Whatevers

This sporty feel in clothing really gets everyone lately, especially with the trainers all around. At first all the Korean people wearing them, that's normal, because they do all the time (I noticed this when I went to South Korea last summer that they paired everything with sneakers and didn't look weird at all, they looked cool even). Then, I think because of the Olympic fever last year as well (I don't know why the trend hits just now), now everybody is like in their trainers, bomber jackets, caps, oversized tees, and well, what can I say? Kewl. That's what.

I want to get more pairs of sneakers myself since I've always worn something comfy in here to walk a long way. My Converse is the most comfiest pair of shoes to be used for sewing, seriously, and it's starting to worn out, so I need to get new ones. So the options are defo Converse, Vans, and Nike.

Look at these babies coming out from Nike. The concept is definitely catchy, designing shoes based on top 5 fashion cities in the world; London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, and Milan. The only thing I don't like is the 'dunk sky hi' bit because I'm still not into the wedge-sneakers trend... yet, but who knows, you know? If you take a look at dem first...

Aren't they cool? Nike incorporated the trademark of each city into this glamorous collection of their sneakers. London with the kilts, Paris with the tweed-ish material to, I think New York with this silver-ish material that supposed to look like a city that never sleeps, Tokyo with the metallic touch in a sense of a high-tech city (or country that is), and Milan with the famous leather work. If I'm a huge, huge fan of sneakers, I'd collect them all.

My personal favorite is the Paris because one could see the elegance and the sporty vibe at the same time. But I also fall in love with Milan.

Mens version:

Couple shoes alert! Haha. Would be so catchy.

Anyway,
Ciao.

Mouth, Listen to Brain

Don't you wish you could turn back the time when you've done or said something stupid or something that may hurt others' feelings? Sometimes all I need is a slap in the face to remind myself when I said something mean or rude or did not sound nice at all. Sometimes my brain need to work faster so it could order the mouth to say something correctly rather than something.... worthless.

Anyway, put some colour last weekend to cheer myself and passerby a bit. Maybe not the passerby. Because by colour, I mean...

Oh and I was wearing a neon-ish green Longchamp bag too but I didn't want to take pictures with it, thought it was a bit too much. Maybe the passerby was like, "This girl is blinding me. And not in a good way." Do you know what? This is an act of rebel towards London weather because... BECAUSE... BE.CAUSE. After a week of sunshine and nice wind and parks and strolls, now we're back to rain and clouds and not-nice wind. I even took my bubble jacket out in mid May. MID MAY. It may sound normal in Australia since the land of Kangaroos is entering their winter moment but it's supposed to be summer here. I'll just wait till never.

Ciao.

Londonderry

Hi ho, sorry for not posting anything for a week. Had a hectic weekdays with all the works, haven't been out except for classes and group meetings. It's what uni does to you, I guess. But here and now I'm bringing you a set of pictures taken in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, when I went there last January.

Londonderry is a small city, so small that you could literally go around the Londonderry wall in just one hour. We saw the map and thought, okay let's see the city from the wall (which was for war--like the Great Wall-- sort of thing). So on the map it seemed quite big whereas when we walked, everything was practically next to each other.

Sorry for the smudgey photos. It was raining and the wind blew quite hard, typical UK weather. The raindrops were on my camera lens. Don't you hate it when you travel and suddenly it rains? I hate traveling when it rains because you can't really take pretty pictures and you're bringing your umbrellas, trying not to get wet, finding the nearest indoor spot, but at the same time still trying to enjoy the view. However, the Northern Ireland trip was still lovely overall. Didn't let the rain beat us.

I love everything about this sweater that I got from South Korea last summer. If I'm not mistaken I got it from a store called A-Land and from what my Korean friends says, this store is a must-go. Two of the stores can be found in Garusogil and Dongdaemun. I was attracted to the sleeves, obviously, of its triangular shapes, and the colours are so perfect (burgundy, navy, and duck egg). Other than that I have nothing to say about this outfit, really.

Til next post, folks!

Ciao!

You guys know my favorite type of shoes is oxford shoes. So when I laid my eyes on this pair, I just knew I have to have them. They're black and white, the straps are removable and adjustable, and they're oxford shoes. They're perfect. Unfortunately, I accidentally slipped and now the straps are snapped, the shoes are quite... what do you call it? Not perfect anymore. However, I intend to repair them once I arrive in my hometown, which is not long of a wait at all; a month from now I will be home.
